Physical Therapy

Pain is not fun, and in many cases, it can be relieved or removed. This takes work, however, and the work needs to be consciously designed by your Physical Therapist and adopted by you, the patient. This cooperative approach enables us to design treatment programs specific to your needs, whether it be from an injury, overuse syndrome, or degenerative condition, we work with you to improve your strength, flexibility, and mobility, so you can function confidently with reduced pain and, hopefully, pain-free.

  • If you’ve been injured in an accident or physical activity we’ll evaluate the extent of the injury and create a treatment plan that will help you get back to doing what you love to do and/or need to do. We don’t work miracles. What we do is listen, investigate, learn, and create programs specific to you and your body’s needs. In turn, we help you down the road to a sustainable recovery.

  • Have a little tweak that’s nagging you and that your concerned will get worse? Come in and let’s explore how to mitigate the risk of an injury or chronic condition. Often times it’s about strengthening or creating better mobility of the muscles and fibres adjacent to joints. Whatever the condition may be, we’ll help clarify the challenge and then work with you to create a plan to address it appropriately.

  • Having pain in your shoulder, knee, hip, or other joint area? Is it getting worse? Have you resorted to self-medicating with ibuprofen or other medications? Let’s help you better understanding what’s happening and how best to treat the issue. Wether it be inflammation stemming from diet, a lack of strength and mobility, or the lasting effects on a previous injury, we’ll help identify the root causes and help create a treatment plan that helps you ease or remove the discomfort in a sustainable way.

  • We address the root causes rather than merely treat the symptoms. Our hands-on techniques, programs, and state-of-the-art resources help promote recovery and, if possible, a full return to an active lifestyle free of pain and discomfort.

  • Maintaining good balance to reduce the risk of falling takes practice. This was true when we first started walking, and it’s true throughout life. Much of this “practice” is simply walking itself or simple body movement. However, as we get older or are recovering from injury this practice needs to be intentional. If you’re having trouble with balance and are concerned about falling, let us set up a program to help reduce your risk of falling.
